Wildlife Recording

Please record your sightings of flora and fauna particularly less frequent sightings as if we don't know what is living around us we are not able to protect it. We enter these records of sightings into iRecord and these are shared with agencies such as TVERC who inform planning decisions. We use the location and species data to create a map of sightings.

If you prefer to enter your records directly into iRecord (which also has an APP) please do so using our Wildlife in Ascot Activity there - the link takes you straight to this. You can add photos of your sightings here.

Please click on this link to make a record of a notable tree via The Woodland Trust's website

If you already record your local wildlife sightings and have them on file please email us a copy at ascot.wildlife@gmail.com Thank you.

If you prefer to record your sightings on a spreadsheet over a period then send them; please download and use the green excel file at the bottom of this page as it has headings for the data required by TVERC. If you want to print off a sheet to make records please use the red pdf file.

If you can't identify something take photos and try getting help from iSpot. iSpot is a website aimed at helping anyone identify anything in nature. Once you've registered, you can add an observation to the website and suggest an identification yourself or see if anyone else can identify it for you.
